In an effort to minimize tuition rates, fundraising events are held each year. The following is a tentative list of this year’s fundraisers:
Cash Raffle/Fuddruckers® Event – The cash raffle takes place in November at Fuddruckers® Restaurant, Methuen, MA. Cash Raffle Ticket donations are $25 each and 5 cash prizes are given out at the annual event. The top cash prize is $3,000.
Auction/Dinner Dance – Parents, families, friends, and alumni of SJRCS come together for an elegant evening of dinner, dancing, and both silent and live auctions. Auctions present a theme and have been held in the past at the Castleton in Windham, and the Wyndham Hotel in Andover. Previous themes included “Mardi Gras”, “Cruise Ship”, “Red Carpet”, and “50s Sock Hop” to celebrate St. Joseph’s 50th year in Catholic school education.
Walk-a-thon – Students solicit donations from family, friends, and neighbors who sponsor them for this event. Students walk laps around the school property for one hour.
Calendar Raffle – Donation is $10 per calendar. Each day a drawing is held and the winner receives the prize amount listed for that date. Winning stubs are returned to the drawing pool to allow multiple chances at winning!
Ongoing Fundraising Programs
Target – Use a Redcard at Target which will then donate up to 1% of the purchase price to SJRCS.
Denny’s – Use a discount card to receive 15% off your bill as well as a 5% donation to SJRCS.
Box Tops for Education – Save the box-tops from General Mills products and other participating products.
Cartridges for Kids – Recycle used ink cartridges.
Newspaper/Paper Recycling Program – Place newspapers/papers in receptacles in the parking lot.
