Food Service
Current Menu (September 2011)
The Food Service Department provides the students in Grades K-8 with a variety of hot and cold lunches including fresh fruits and/or vegetable side dishes, and dessert. Additional items which are available every day to provide a wider variety of meal choices include yogurt, assorted ice creams, and the following sandwiches: peanut butter and jelly, Sun Butter and jelly, and cheese. Students are always free to bring their own lunches from home.
Fridays are always pizza days. For Grades 1-8, once a month a specific grade invites their parents for Pizza Day! Throughout the year, “themed” lunches are served to celebrate special events or holidays. On Red Sox Opening Day, for example, the children enjoy hot dogs and fries.
Payment for school lunches is conveniently accepted via Sendmoneytoschool.com where you can easily add money to your child’s account*. You will receive weekly e-mail messages informing you of your child’s account balance. If you prefer, you can also still send payment to the school office in an envelope marked “Lunch Money” with your child’s name and homeroom noted on the envelope.
| Lunch including milk | $3.00 |

All lunches meet the current standards from the Food and Nutrition Board (FNB). The FNB is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Founded in 1940, this Board establishes the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) and has developed guidelines for the nutrient fortification of foods and specifications for the safety of food chemicals.
