St. Joseph Regional Catholic School is thankful for its dedicated volunteers who give their time and talents each year.  The entire school community benefits tremendously from volunteerism. Each year our school has received the Blue Ribbon Award for Volunteerism offered through New Hampshire Partners in Education. The number of volunteer hours we report to New Hampshire Partners in Education continues to rise each year.  Volunteers model Christian values and our students see first hand the importance of giving back to their community.

Any individual who wishes to become a SJRCS volunteer must complete mandatory screening requirements  Downloadable documents such as: Volunteer Applications, Criminal Record Release Forms and FAQ on Volunteer Screening can be obtained from the Diocese of Manchester Website at www.catholicchurchnh.org under the Child Safety menu.  In addition, individuals may view Child Safety Policies and Protecting God's Children Training Schedule.  They can also register to attend a Protecting God's Children training session.

Volunteers who provide student transportation are also required to submit annually a copy of their driver's license, proof of insurance verification and sign a Diocese of Manchester Driver/Vehicle Registration form.

Depending on the volunteer assignment, volunteers may be asked to attend a specific orientation meeting.  All volunteers in the school are required to wear name badges (provided and located at the front reception desk) and sign in when entering and leaving the school.  Volunteers can download a volunteer hourly sheet to keep at home to record any volunteer duties that they perform after school or when at home.  Volunteer sheets are collected throughout the year.  In May the hours are tallied and submitted to New Hampshire Partners in Education with the Blue Ribbon Award Application.  For more information on New Hampshire Partners in Education visit
www.nhpie.org .

A Volunteer Training Guide is available for download which will help answer general questions in regards to volunteering at SJRCS.  In addition feel free to contact the Safe Environment Office for specific questions on how to become a volunteer.

Each year we ask all volunteers to complete an Annual Volunteer Interest Survey.  Information gathered from this survey is entered into the school database and disseminated to Parent Guild chairpersons, room parents and school administration to facilitate volunteer efforts.  Individuals are contacted only after they have completed all mandatory screening and returned an annual volunteer interest survey.  For specific questions about upcoming Parent Guild sponsored events listed on the volunteer interest survey please contact the parent guild at

Volunteers may be needed to help with student Athletics and Activities throughout the year.  These and other urgent volunteer requests can be found in the school newsletter under the Volunteer Want Ads.

Each spring SJRCS has a volunteer breakfast in honor of our dedicated volunteers.  This is a family breakfast held prior to the school day.  Staff and students take this time to say
THANK YOU for all the support that volunteers provide to the SJRCS school community."
